This Vega "Style M" guitar-banjo shows serial No. 56338 which dates it to 1922. It is a lovely example of Vega’s work back in the day and remains in very good playing condition with a straight neck, low comfortable action, excellent clear tone and just generally, a great vintage feel and vibe. Other than a few minor marks and dings from time and use, and a very small amount of tarnish on some metal parts, the instrument appears largely untouched by time. Decent shine remains on the metal bands that ring the Maple pot and original planetary tuners are holding tune nicely. There is a small non-structural crack on the Rosewood heel-cap otherwise no other cracks or separations and all bindings are intact. Really a great old instrument ready for its next player. Comes with a TLK hard case in very good condition and all latches working.
