Absolute top-notch hand-built violin from one of the nation's well-respected makers. R. J. Storm has been making violins for over thirty years. His instruments are played by renowned musicians including Jason Carter of the Del MCcoury Boys who endorsed him on their CD cover. You can see his writings regularly in Fidder Magazine on the subject of construction and restoration. R. J. Storm instruments are meticulously crafted from the finest aged woods of Spruce and Flamed Maple and contain his signature features such as well-defined edges, pronounced chin, hollows at the wings and extra width at the corners. The tone is soloist worthy with great depth and clarity and carrying tones that can fill a concert hall when in the hands of a virtuoso. R. J. Storm instruments are rarely available on the used instrument market and are usually much more expensive than we are asking here. This one came back to him after the original purchaser reluctantly parted with it due to a health issue. Mr. Storm has rigorously inspected and set up the instrument in his shop and it is stage ready.
Currently strung with Helicore strings. It will be shipped in a basic polyfoam case for protection. Other cases available upon request.
