This is a nice gold Tone MM-150 long-neck banjo built c. 2005. This model has the famed Whyte Laydie tone ring and an elongated Maple neck that Pete Seeger made famous. Although this is an open-back model, the prior owner of this instrument fashioned a home-made resonator that attaches gently to the banjo with velcro, and the back of the resonator has lovely artwork with a picture of Pete and his well-known slogan "This Machine Surrounds Hate and Forces it to Surrender." The resonator is also autographed by Pete with his classic signature and banjo drawing. The banjo is in good playing condition with comfortable action, straight neck and clear tone. There are a few minor marks from use and there is a longitudinal neck crack that was professionally repaired years ago at the Gold Tone facility and which has remained very stable since then. Comes with a Gold Tone gig bag.
