Gold Tone BZ-500 Bouzouki
Note: We saw a few very small (essentially inconsequential) blemishes on this instrument and have discounted it substantially. It is still new with warranty and plays and sounds great.
The Irish Bouzouki (sometimes called a cittern) is a unique form of an octave mandolin adopted into and adapted for Irish and other forms of European traditional music from the late 1960s onward. The most common tuning used is GDAD, but other tunings including GDAE, ADAD, and CFAD can be used. The Gold Tone BZ-500 Bouzouki is set up with octave strings for the third and fourth courses and unison strings for the first and second courses. This solid-top model produces dramatic traditional Irish tone and is easy to play thanks to the precision setup by our skilled luthiers. Includes Hardshell Case!
We're not just retailers, we're musicians, and we know what musicians appreciate. So unlike many other internet sellers who just forward a pre-boxed instrument from the factory, we personally inspect, and if needed set-up the instrument prior to shipping so it's ready to play from the moment you unpack it. If the instrument in not right for any reason, it goes back to the manufacturer and not to you; so when you purchase from Main Street Music, you know you are getting a great instrument every time. Together with our already low prices, this makes us the best value on the net.
