Here for sale is an exceptional Gibson Style A Mandolin from the 1920's during the famed Lloyd Loar era and sports the snakehead headstock which was an innovation made by Loar Himself. This one is in wonderful playing condition with low comfortable action and a robust and warm vintage tone. The instrument appears all original with a few minor exceptions. A pickup and output jack has been an added for stage play, and it appears from visual inspection that the side and back have may be over-sprayed or refinished. The top appears to have its original finish in a lovely vintage brown color and it has its original pick guard. There are a couple of well-repaired top cracks that are structurally sound and there are some non-structural finish cracks on the back. All-in-all a great vintage instrument ready to go on stage. As an added  bonus comes with its original green velvet lined case with all latches working.
