Here for sale we have a stunning brand new custom Collings MF mandolin in their subtle and gorgeous honey amber finish. This mandolin also features an Engelmann spruce top making this somewhat more unique and different from the usual production specs. We find this mando is very special in that it has plenty of volume and chop but also a sweetness in the tone that is a little reminiscent of older worn in instruments.The neck profile is a gentle rounded "V," scale length is 13 and 7/8ths, nut width is 1 1/8th and the back sides are highly flamed Maple - almost looks like a violin.
