This started out as a nice quality Bulgarian violin made of all-solid European tone woods, but it has now been transformed into a sweet sounding instrument for a discerning player. Mark Vangorden has been working with violins for many years and he gave this one his special touch hand varnishing and hand re-graduating the instrument to his own specifications. Although a newer instrument, the moderate flaming of the wood and the gentle varnish finish give this violin the charm of yesteryear and the hand re-graduation produces a resonant tone with a nice sweetness to match.
