This Classic White Laydie banjo from Bart Reiter of Lansing, Michigan is now of vintage age ind is playing and sounding like it. Bart Reiter is one of the nations mast renowned banjo makers and this one was made while he was first making that reputation. It features a Maple pot with Rosewood cap, 11" pot with 24 brackets, Ebony fingerboard with decorative inlay, fiddle headstock with Ebony overlay and decorative inlay, fiberskyn head, White Laydie scalloped tone ring, planetary tuners and an adjustable Old Waverly style tailpiece.
The banjo is in very good vintage condition with only minor marks and dings and the expected minor tarnish of metal parts. The head is in great condition but is slightly discolored from playing. The neck is straight and the action is comfortable. It's currently setup for claw-hammer playing, but could be lowered by filing the bridge etc.
Comes with black hard case.
