Lovely example of Bacon's vintage banjo work on this nice old plectrum style banjo. There are 24 Brackets on an 11" metal pot with old frosted head. The greenish grey bakelite resonator and matching heel cap are both surprisingly intact. Lovely metal 'Bacon" plaque on the back. Not sure about the neck wood but it looks like Cherry with a Maple center stripe. Ebony fretboard with diamond MOP inlay. There is a harp inlay at the first frets that look as if it was repaired and reinserted at one point. Fiddle style headstock with dark wood overlay and decorative diamond and star inlay. The neck is nicely straight with comfortable action and the tone is resonant and crisp. Overall in very good vintage condition with the expected tarnish from age and occasional minor marks etc.
Comes with an older hard case.
