Classic high quality Mandolin Banjo from the golden era of Bacon & Day. Features include lots of decorative MOP, genuine skin head, f-hole style metal flange and Ebony fingerboard. The instrument is in good playable condition with a few small marks and scratches as would be expected of a century-old instrument but still plenty of shine left on the metal parts. The neck is straight and the action is medium at about 2mm at the 12th fret but could be lowered with an alternate tailpiece and bridge-file if desired. Past repairs have included replacement of the tailpiece (with period vintage tailpiece) and repair of a fracture at the tongue of the neck, but all is stable and ready for its next player. Comes with original hard case in fair but workable condition.
