Since the 1970s Alembic has been making top-quality basses for players and professionals alike. Their instruments have been played by well-known musicians including Jefferson Airplane’s Jack Cassady. Alembic became known for their incredibly versatile and unique basses.
The Spoiler bass, was released by Alembic in the 1980s as a model that was more affordable while still being a quality high-end bass. The Spoiler features a four-way pickup selector, master volume and master tone/filter, and a mini-toggle to activate the active low-pass filter. It has a comfortable 32" scale length and dark ebony fingerboard. As an added bones, this bass features a Schaller "hip-shot" lever on the low "E" string that precisely drops it down to a "D" when desired without having to tune.
This bass is in very good playing condition with only very minor marks from age and use. The neck is straight and the action is appropriate and comfortable and the tone is top-notch. Comes with original hard case.
