![Vega "Folklore" long-neck Banjo (1965)](http://jakesmainstreetmusic.com/cdn/shop/products/IMG_3846_{width}x.jpg?v=1571439011)
This is a very well cared for long-neck banjo from 1965, Serial No. A126282. The 11" wood pot sports a lightly frosted head held by 24 brackets. The sunburst Maple neck looks beautiful, as if nobody ever placed a capo on it. At the top is a black headstock with "Vega" logo and four planetary tuners. The fretboard is of Rosewood and is straight and true with very little fret wear. At the bottom we find a standard Vega armrest and a Presto style tailpiece. This instrument is in very good condition overall for its age showing few marks or dings and is very clean all around. There is a small amount of tarnish to metal parts as would be expected and a hairline crack of the heel cap that appears non structural. It plays beautifully with low action and clear tone.
Comes with a modern "Gold Tone" longneck gig-bag.
