Here for sale we have a Kay made Tenor banjo. This model the K-52 has been beautifully restored with new flamed maple neck binding and new frosted head. the Kay company was never known as high end instruments, but has gained a lot of attention because of their unique and unusual designs that over time have become sought after by players and collectors alike. This one sounds amazingly clear and present without harshness. It features a Mahogany wood construction with armrest and white rim bindings as well as butter bean style tuners. This banjo is in good condition with only minor mark and dings on the rim and pot as would be expected from its age but it has no structural damage. There are however, a number of scratches and marks on the back of the resonator. The action is comfortable and needs no work done on it at this time. Comes with original Geib hard case!
