Here for sale is a great guitar from respected maker Chihoe Hahn from New York's famed Hudson Valley. Over the past 20 years, Chihoe Hahn made a name for himself amongst true electric guitars lovers by putting out instruments that not only look great, but feel and play great. His guitars have been used by artists such as Duke Robillard, Richard Shindell and the late Walter Becker to name a few.
This guitar is a Model 228 which is essentially Hahn's version of a Telecaster but with increased quality just about everywhere. It is used but in great playing shape showing just some minor wear and it was inspected by our luthier and is ready for its next player. This one No. 140812 was built in 2014 and comes with its original hard case. The specifics of the model from Hahn's website are below:
" The Model 228 has inspired us for years. It has graced the biggest stages and finest studios in the world, and has won acclaim from some of the world's finest musicians as well as numerous industry awards (Premier Guitar's Year End Gear Award and Guitar Player Magazine's Editors' Pick Award).
The 228 uses the finest materials and offers unparalleled build quality. We tune each 228 to provide the musician with the maximum expressiveness and sound from this masterful design.
We build 228s in swamp ash and alder. Necks are one piece maple, with the option of a rosewood fretboard. Frets are generally 6105. We outfit the 228 with the Hahn cold rolled steel bridge which can either top-load or run the strings thru-body. We also make the compensated brass saddles, stainless steel neckplate (.10" thick) and stainless body ferrules. Gotoh/Kluson tuners are used, as well as bone nuts, CRL switches, CTS pots and Orange Drop capacitors. Wiring is vintage cloth push back. Finally, the 228, like all Hahn guitars, is finished in roughly 25 coats of nitrocellulose lacquer with a total finish thickness of approximately .004 ".
