Good example of a 1970s Gibson. The 1970s version of the SJ has a traditional dreadnought shape, Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides and a nice amount of bling. L\Features include a lovely sunburst top with black body bindings and white/black purfling, block neck inlay and black headstock overlay with Gibson logo. This guitar is in good playing condition and appears all-original. Past repairs we noted include a planing of the bridge for improved action and we also noted an added layer of reinforcing wood installed beneath the bridge area. That repair appears to be successful in that the top is nicely flat with no undue bellying etc. Te frets appear to have been leveled and polished but have plenty of time left and there are the expected minor small marks from use an age but no cracks at all. The guitar plays well with comfortable action and a pleasing woody Gibson type tone. Comes with a black hard case also in good condition.
