Here for sale we have a very rare and desirable Gibson Style O artist model arch top guitar. The serial number reads 70272 which corresponds to 1922. This is in very good condition for being over 100 years old. The neck angle is good and the frets still have plenty of life and the action is comfortable. Cosmetically, this guitar shows that old patina that comes with any instrument of this age. There are plenty of marks and nicks from normal playing and use, And there is one top crack and back separation that were professionally repaired many years ago by the looks of it. Remarkably, the guitar still has its original pick guard. These guitars were made in Kalamazoo MI back in the day when the company was only twenty-something years old. Woods featured are spruce top and Birch back and sides with Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard. This was also a fairly rare model as the batches of these were few. Introduced in 1908 and last Cataloged in 1922, this one stopped to make way for the Revolutionary L-5. Classic appointments of this model include single bound Ivoroid top and back, thick and wide V profile neck (Great for big hands) Overall length of this instrument is 38 1/2 inches. Width at lower bout is 3 1/4 inches and scale length is 24 3/4" and nut width is 1 3/4", As an Incredible added bonus it still has its Original hard case.
