Nikos Apollonio A-39 Prototype (1983)
Nikos Apollonio has been building guitars since 1967 and has developed unique features and innovations resulting in instruments of outstanding quality and tone. Nikos has made instruments for well-known performers such as Gordon Bok and Noel Paul Stookey. This prototype build in 1983 features figured solid Walnut sides and back and a solid Cedar top. The combination of these tonewoods and its robust size give it a large but interestingly well defined voice. The guitar also features decorative neck inlay, a "Friendship Sloop" headstock inlay, Maple/Rosewood body bindings and a Rosewood plateau bridge with floating saddle for easy intonation. There are a few scratches and dings as would be expected of a vintage instrument, but overall, it is in very good playable condition, with a straight neck and comfortable action. Nut width measures 1 3/4" and scale length is 25 1/2"
Comes with hard shell case.
