Here for sale we offer this unique Martin guitar from 2011 with an unusual but very desirable combination of features. The guitar is a slope shouldered 12-fret instrument with a slotted headstock, very reminiscent of the Martin slope shouldered instruments made in the 1960's such as the D-18S, but this guitar is of all solid Mahogany including the top. It's matte finish is very appropriate in that it gives this guitar the look and feel of a much older instrument. This guitar is in good playing condition, with some minor dings and scratches as would be expected and plenty fo life left in the frets. The neck is straight and the action is set very comfortably at 2.7mm art the 12th fret with room for future lowering at the saddle if desired. It appears the bridge was re-glued at some time but is on there solid with no signs of lifting. The tone is big and warm as would be expected of an all Mahogany instrument. As an added bonus, a pickup has been installed (K and K we believe) with a volume wheel at the sound-hole and an endpin jack. A second endpin jack has been turned back into a strap button. Comes with hard shell case in good condition.
