Here for sale we have a 1944 0-15 martin all Mahogany guitar. These guitars from this period always have a special mojo. Though at the time not a very high model, these all Mahogany guitars seem to sing from this era. This one has plenty of battle scars including numerous scratches dings and finish wear as would be expected from a well-loved well-played instrument. There is also a small amount of rise in the bridge area, but not more than many other Martins of this era and it also appears the bridge was replaced at one time. The only cracks we see in this instrument are one or two very small 1 to 2 inch well repaired top cracks near lower bout. The guitar plays well but the action does sit at 3.5mm at 12th fret and could benefit from a neck reset although there is some room to lower at the saddle. Other than those condition notes this guitar really sounds and we've found that these all mahogany guitars really do well with the Monel strings which were used before bronze pre 1960. Also this one is equipped with Dean Markley pickup in the sound hole and output jack wired. Comes with newer Hard shell case by Superior.
