Oscar Schmidt Sovereign Parlor Guitar c. 1916
Here is a very attractive vintage parlor guitar c. 1916 that remains in very good playing condition with comfortable action and old tone. The guitar features a solid Spruce top and probably laminated Rosewood sides and highly figured laminated Rosewood back. There is lovely marquetry around the white body bindings and an intricate vine-of-life neck inlay on a black Ebony fingerboard. There has been some work to maintain the instrument over the years including a bridge replacement with a period style pyramid bridge, a repaired brace, some repaired back cracks and a some replaced binding. In addition, some of the neck inlay where missing was replaced with reddish copper/aluminum which makes the design look very artistic without disturbing the vintage vibe.
Comes with a black chipboard case.
