Guild DV52 All-Solid Rosewood and Spruce c. 1999
This is a very attractive all-solid Spruce/Rosewood Guild which as far as we can tell was made between 1998 and 2001. It is in very good condition with only very minor dings or scratches that you really have to look for. There is one very small, hairline crack at the edge of the sound hole on the edge near the end of the fingerboard (see photos) but is appears stable and not needing repair, otherwise the wood is pretty flawless.
This guitar is very nicely appointed with the Chesterfield headstock logo, pearl rosette and marquetry at the middle of the lovely book-matched Rosewood back. White body bondings, Gold-plated Grover tuners and a dark Ebony neck round out the look. The tone is warm and lustrous and the neck is straight. Action is currently about 3mm and there is some room at the saddle to lower it further. There is also a nice meaty bridge that can be lowered if additional future adjustment is desired, so It does not need a neck reset!
As an added bonus, it comes with what we believe to be its' original black hard shell "Guild" branded case.
