Gretsch Model 6115 "Rambler" Electric Guitar 1957 -Bamboo yellow
For sale is a really vibey and fairly rare 1957 Gretsch Model 6115 Rambler. The Ramblers were only made from 1957 to 1960. This guitar #25260 is from the first year of production and remains in very good vintage playing condition. The neck is true and the action is low and comfortable and the DeArmond pickup placed at the neck sounds amazingly full. There are various marks, dings ands scratches as would be expected of an older instrument but it remains very visually attractive and there is a lot of really beautiful finish crazing tat just adds to the vibe. (see photos). There is also a very small filled hole in the side near the neck where there probably used to be a strap button but its fairly inconsequential. From the red "G" tailpiece to the matching red truss cover, this unique guitar is all Gretsch and just really cool. As an added bonus, a modern adjustable bridge with a built in pickup has been installed which gives the option of a different crisper tone if desired. Other than the bridge, the guitar appears all-original. Another bonus, it comes with the original hard Gretsch branded case also in very good condition. Formerly owned by renowned artist Richard Shindell, this great old guitar is ready to go in stage with its next performer.
