Favilla Vintage A-style Mandolin
This is a vintage Favilla Mandolin probably made in the 1950s. The neck appears to be Maple with a Rosewood board and the top is Spruce. there are a few repaired top cracks and a few repaired back cracks that have been cleated and glued etc so it is structurally sound. The tone is very nice, resonant and clear. The action is medium and because of bridge lowering in the past, the strings are in close contact with the top which has been remedied by the placement of a small piece of felt which can be seen in the photos.
Comes with a nice, brown tough covered chip case in very good condition.
