Collings 290 Electric white finish (2013)
This Collings electric comes to us as part of Jon Pousette Dart's personal collection here at Main St. Music. Though he owned and played this guitar, its in quite remarkable near-mint condition. We find that tone is subjective but this Collings has great tone and the easy playabilty we've come to expect from the Collings line of top quality guitars. Specs listed below for you're convenience.
Wearing a familiar body shape (hint: it's the Les Paul Special), the Collings 290 electric guitar was one of the first electrics the company ever produced, having dealt primarily with acoustics beforehand. The 290 gets its name from, of course, the beautiful 290 highway near Collings' shop in Austin. Sportings two Lollar Soap Bar P90 pickups with a tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece, the 290 pays homage to the working man's guitar.
