We spoke to Mr Hippner when we had one of his lovely guitars in the past a steel string parlor. He is not just a friendly and intelligent person but he is a maker out by the northwest Canadian border who makes some really nice Handbuilt Guitars. We believe this to classical to have a french polish finish which only some of the top makers of classical guitar makers use. Other features include a stunning spalted maple rosette bound with rings of green and brown binding as well as a tight grained spruce top and what what appears to be figured indian rosewood back and sides. The inside label reads D. Hippner Grand concert with the model designation that reads "Lattice". This one numbered 362 was built in 2003. this is one of the nicest sounding Classical guitars we've gotten in to the shop everything from the attention to detail on down to the playability and sound this is really a gem. action sits properly at 4mm and is ready to be played by someone. This guitar is in very good condition with no cracks and only a few minor marks and dings to show from its almost 20 years. It is also unique in that the fretboard has a slight radius which makes for very comfortable playing. Comes with hard case.
