Gregory Stewart Byers Classical Guitar
Here for sale is a beautifully made and a highly coveted Gregory Stewart Byers classical guitar built in 1986 marked number #15. Now a vintage instrument, this guitar is fan braced in the tradition of Hauser and Rodriquez. This one is sonically very rich with good definition of tone across the strings. That being said, this guitar has gone through a couple of changes since it was made including a pickup system we believe to be part internal mic and part traducer under the bridge. Because of that it also has an input jack installed where the end pin usually would be. We find these to be all minor alterations to the instrument and do not detract from playability or structural integrity of this lovely guitar. There is also a small bit of finish wear on the top left shoulder on the back of the guitar. This guitar features a Spruce top and what we believe to be Brazilian back and sides, and a nicely figured Brazilian Rosette. This instrument also features what appears to be a french polish finish and a Traditional Spanish heel. These are all-solid hand graduated top quality guitars that have become sought after by players and collectors alike and demand high prices in the classical world. Though well cared for we believe that because of the minor alterations, we are listing this for a very special price not found in most listings of this maker. Comes with top quality hard shell case.
