Gold Tone just did an amazing thing. They took their great sounding and affordable AC-1 banjo and offered it in a long-neck style. For those who are not familiar, a long-neck banjo has three extra frets and is tuned down so that you are in concert pitch when you have a capo at the 3rd fret. The you can move the capo up or down giving huge versatility in the keys you can play in. Pete Seeger first created and popularized this configuration back in the 1950s. The AC-1LN is now the most affordable long-neck banjo in the country and somehow its tone is truly outstanding. Better still, it comes with a carry bag.
Note: for a small fee, we can offer this instrument with 5th string spikes so as to facilitate matching the 5th string pitch with the capo position.
