Two 1965 Fender Mustangs, Cream
These beautiful vintage Fender Mustangs came in to our shop a few weeks back. It turned out they were bought by two brothers in 1965 who played them together in a rock band. Then they got regular jobs and the guitars were stored away for decades. One is more yellowed than the other so we suspect that one brother smoked. These guitars are only 15 serial numbers apart and as far as we can tell are all-original including their original grey rectangular Fender case with orange velvet liners. One of the two still has the original tremolo bar in the case.
We have had the switches cleaned and setups performed on both guitars and they are both playing well. Both guitars are in good vintage condition but do have some marks and scuffs and belt rash as would be expected. (Please see the photos) They are currently being offered as a pair. These are like the guitar played by Elizabeth Moss in the movie "Her Smell" but these are the real deal, played in the 60s!
