Gibson L-48 Arch-top Guitar c. 1954
Here for sale is a lovely Gibson L-48 Guitar from circa 1954. The L-48s were very similar in construction to some of the ES models, but with a flat back, the L-48 was a real working-man's jazz box. This guitar appears all-original and is in good playing condition with a straight neck and comfortable action with room to lower if desired. But make no mistake, this is a player's instrument with plenty of marks, dings and finish crazing from its 60 years of use. In addition, the back of the guitar was removed to glue the bindings, which are now healthy and tight, but there is some finish disturbance one the back right near the bindings as would be expected. Basically, this is just a sweet old arch-top with a round vintage jazz ring with no significant modifications or alterations. It comes with hard non-original case.
